our on the water community
The Port Ludlow Yacht Club (PLYC) is an active boating and social organization with several yearly cruises. PLYC is an organization run completely by members who volunteer their time. The vast majority of members attend our regular schedule of activities.
Our club is located halfway between the three major cruising areas in Washington. The entrance to Hood Canal is minutes away, Puget Sound, Seattle, and the South Puget Sound are to the south. Port Townsend and the San Juan Islands are to the north. All of these areas are a half-day cruise away. Victoria and the Canadian Gulf Islands can be reached easily in one day.
PLYC, founded in 1972, has over 200 members, with a mix of power and sail boats. We enjoy the reputation of being knowledgeable and experienced boaters who actively cruise the waters of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We have reciprocal moorage and club access agreements with over 100 other yacht clubs from Alaska to California.
You do not have to own a boat to be a member of our club. Some members have owned boats in the past and enjoy the boating community, while others find the social aspects of our club to be the best place to make friends in Port Ludlow.
